SUMMARY:I.YURKEVICH: Fractional conductance in one dimension
DESCRIPTION:\n	Recent experiments on transport in one-dimensional constrictions [1,2] revealed that fine tuning of the conducting channel leads to plateaus corresponding to various fractions of the conductance quantum.\nI will discuss recent theoretical models suggested for the explanation of these observations and speculate on what fractions can be expected in general within the Luttinger model approach.\n\n\n1.
