Half-skyrmion theory of high-Tc cuprates


In this talk I will review the half-skyrmion theory for copper-oxide hightemperature superconductivity [1]. In this theory, doped holes create a half-skyrmion spin texture which is characterized by a topological charge. I will talk about the single hole doped system, the pseudogap phenomenon, and the mechanism of d-wave superconductivity. I will also discuss Nernst effect based on the skyrmion theory.
