Cotunneling current and its noise through carbon-nanotube quantum dot

The cotunneling current and current noise are theoretically examined in the Coulomb blockade regime of carbon-nanotube quantum dot with two electrons. The cotunneling current is enlarged when the bias voltage (eV) exceeds the excitation energy in the quantum dot (D), in the presence of inelastic processes. A recent experiment finds an enhancement of the current around eV=D and increase in the current noise at eV>D. These properties can be explained by the calculation using the Master equation derived from the density matrix formalism.
