  • Solving optimization problems with Rydberg analog quantum computers

Jeudi 22 octobre 11:00-12:30 - Thomas Ayral - Atos Quantum Lab, Les Clayes-sous-Bois

Solving optimization problems with Rydberg analog quantum computers

Résumé : I will present recent work [1] conducted at the Atos Quantum Laboratory. I will explain our methodology for quantifying the computing potential of a given quantum platform – here Rydberg atoms – for solving a combinatorial optimization problem, the unit-disk maximum independent set problem.
I will show how classical numerical simulations, performed on the Atos Quantum Learning Machine, and taking into account realistic details of the experimental platform, can be used to determine hardware requirements for reaching quantum advantage.
