The capability of interrogating and manipulating light-matter interactions at the nanoscale plays a key-role in the development of next‐generation technologies such asenergy conversion and storage devices, ultra-small light sources, biomedical diagnostic tools, and advanced optoelectronic devices.
In this seminar, I will discuss recent advances in the fabrication of plasmonic devices and platforms.
The first case of study will focus on lattice plasmonic resonances generated by ordered arrays of metal nanoparticles prepared by template-assisted colloidal self-assembly. This technique enables a high level of control over both near- and far-field plasmonic coupling. In this work, we demonstrate the possibility of switching between strong near-field plasmonic architectures and high quality factors (
