GDR PhyTop Kickoff Meeting in Lyon
This meeting is the kickoff meeting of the GDR PhyTop (Topological Physics), that will take place at ENS Lyon from October 27 to October 30. The GDR PhyTop is dedicated to the study of emergent topological and geometrical properties in classical and quantum physical systems. It aims to bring together an interdisciplinary community working across a broad range of platforms, from nanosciences to metamaterials, and from photonics and phononics to acoustics and fluids. Structured around five main axes — beyond crystalline structures, non-Hermitian topology, topology and nonlinearities, interfaces with mathematics, and applications — the GDR seeks to develop transversal theoretical tools, identify novel topological systems, and foster new collaborations within the topological physics community.
The GDR PhyTop kick-off meeting will take place from Tuesday 27 October at noon to Friday 30 October at noon, at the ENS de Lyon. The venue is easily accessible via Metro Line B (Debourg station) from Lyon Part-Dieu railway station (around 20 minutes).
The exact timetable, including the scientific programme of the meeting and the name of the lecture hall, will be communicated shortly.
The GDR will cover lunches on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, as well as the coffee breaks, but cannot cover the other meals, your travel expenses, or your accommodation, which will remain at your own expense.
