Cryogenic

The Cryogenic Department’s mission is to design, implement and develop experimental devices in a cryogenic environment.

The developments are part of the research and / or teaching experiments of the laboratory.

Our projects range from improving existing devices to designing new experiments.
They are either operated at the LPS or used for measurements on large instruments.

Three members run the department, encompassing skills in Cryogenic, low-temperature instrumentation, CAD, and machining.

We work in close collaboration with the Mechanical Department, and take advantage of the availability of liquid helium in the LPS liquefier.
