B.A. Piot I Spin resonances in 2 dimensions

B.A. Piot, CNRS-LNCMI-Grenoble

Spin resonances in 2 dimensions

In this talk, I will discuss how the spin and charge degrees of freedom in 2D dimensional electron systems can be probed with sensitive spin resonance techniques, performed either on nuclei or on the free charge carriers directly. I will review some experimental approaches including the ones developed in our group over the last decade and illustrate (or discuss the possibility of) their applications in different scientific cases: the study of many-body phases in high mobility GaAs 2D electron gas, the topological insulator Bi2Se3, and a recent study of magnons in van der Waals magnetic materials.
