Both experimental and theoretical studies are concerned with quantum and strongly interacting systems. Coupling lattice, spin, charge and orbital interactions leads to unique properties of new materials, which are regularly discovered.
GFA Award
The GFA Young investigator award was attributed to Erwan Paineau (LPS, CNRS/University of Paris-Saclay) for the excellence and originality of his work on imogolite clay nanotubes.
Awarded Prix d’Aumale
On the 17th of October, the Académie des Sciences awarded the 2023 Prix d’Aumale to Charis Quay, maîtresse des conférences at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (CNRS/Université Paris-Saclay).
Pascale Launois, CNRS Research Director at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides d’Orsay, has been awarded the “André Guinier” prize by the Association Française de Cristallographie.
