International Physics Olympiad 2025 in LPS

The Solid State Physics Laboratory (LPS) (Paris-Saclay University and CNRS) was pleased to welcome participants of the 2025 International Physics Olympiad, held this year in Paris. #IPhO2025

Delegations from Cuba, Japan, Kenya, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Kingdom visited our scientific teams for an immersion into the heart of research.

After a presentation by Deputy Director Guillaume Tresset, participants explored the work of several scientific groups:

● MMOI – Soft Matter at Interfaces by Emmanuelle Rio
● STEM group @ LPS Orsay – Electron Microscopy by Natalie Brun
● TICE – Tissues, Cells and Biofilms by Eric Raspaud
● NS2 – Nanostructures at Nanoseconds by Alexandra Palacio Morales
● SQM – Spectroscopy of Quantum Materials by Fabrice Bert
● IDMAG – Dynamic Magnetic Imaging by Stanislas Rohart
