Alexandra Mougin, CNRS Research Director at the Laboratory of Solid State Physics (LPS, CNRS / Université Paris-Saclay), contributes to the latest issue of the quarterly magazine La Recherche, dedicated to magnetism and spintronics, alongside Aurélien Manchon, Professor at Aix-Marseille University.
This special issue brings together contributions from scientists working in different fields to explore the fundamental concepts, recent advances and future prospects of these areas of physics. It highlights, in particular, the challenges and opportunities of spintronics, a field that harnesses the spin of electrons, alongside their electrical charge, to develop new functionalities and innovative devices.
The issue also showcases research conducted by the French scientific community within the framework of PEPR SPIN (Priority Research Programme on Spintronics), which supports the development of this strategic field.
This publication helps share scientific knowledge beyond the research community and introduces a wider audience to current research in magnetism and spintronics.
